Treva Wright, age 101, passed away on April 6, 2018, at the Christian Health Care Center in Lynden, WA. She was born June 12, 1916, in San Benito, TX to William and Effie Somers. At age five the family moved to Rutherford, TN where she grew up. She was one of five children. On May 9, 1936 she married John H. Wright and they established their home in Gary, IN where they raised one son, Thomas. Some of Treva’s happiest memories were the seven years she managed the Christian Book Center in Gary, Indiana. In 1957, Treva and John moved to Tucson, AZ, and lived there until John passed away in 2004. She then moved to Bellingham, WA, to be near her son and family. Treva is survived by son, Thomas Wright (Janet) of Blaine, WA; three granddaughters, Deborah (Neal) Farmer; Laura (Mark) Waslohn of Blaine, WA; and Virginia (Jeffrey) Hamrick of Montrose, CO. Six great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren complete her large family. Treva is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, husband and one granddaughter, Peggy Wright. A memorial will be planned for the family gathering in July, 2018.
